Connect Pass

Having a great trip usually hinges on doing your homework and really making an effort to plan your visit. But what if you don't have that kind of time? What if the gold mutual funds conference in Salt Lake City is in three days and you've got to prepare your presentation? How will you figure out what to do with your down time? Not to worry, the Utah tourism board has done your homework for you and put together the Connect Pass, a one-stop purchase for thirteen of the city's hottest attractions. Read on to learn more or go to www.visitsaltlake.com.

Attractions

So what are these thirteen attractions? Well, for starters, there's the Clark Planetarium, where your pass gets you a star show and an IMAX movie. Next is the Discovery Gateway, a hands-on museum that's designed with kids in mind. If you're an Ontario lawyer with more sophisticated tastes, you can skip that and head straight to the Lion House Pantry restaurant for your free Pioneer Meal. After that you can visit the Living Planet Aquarium or perhaps the Red Butte Garden, which has 11 themed arboretums, as both are included on the pass.

More active pass holders may want to head straight for the Snowbird Ski and Summer resort for their free scenic tram ride, or to the Utah Olympic Park for their guided tour. Also included in the pass are the gardens and dinosaur bones in the Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point, This is the Place 1860s heritage park, the Tracey Aviary, the Utah Museum of Natural History, the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, and the Hogle Zoo. Any one of these would be a great escape from a job in a license plate cover factory.

Pass Rules

Your pass is good for one admission to each attraction only and within the time frame specified (for instance, if you were here for one day to teach a seminar on how to sell used jewelry, you would buy a 1 day pass). Buy your pass whenever you like and activate it by using it the first time.

Price and Where to Buy

You don't have to be a famous architect in Toronto to afford a pass. Choose from 1, 2, 3 or 365 day passes. For adults, that's $24, $36, $48, or $69. Quite the savings considering regular admission to all 13 attractions would cost over $120. Buy online, at the visitor's center, or from tour operators.
